Choosy Lip Mask Review

Hi there! Today I will review one of my favorite products from Japan. It is the Choosy Lip Mask. I bought my supply from JapanGoods4Sale, an online shop on Facebook and Instagram. This was my 2nd time to purchase and I got all flavors now. This is my "must-have" if I plan to go out and decide to wear a matte or creamy lipstick so that my lips won't look terrible.

Choosy Lip Mask comes in 5 flavors: herb, honey, milk, fruit, and peach. Each has its distinctive scent. I am just not sure if each has its own particular special ingredient or something because the whole description is in freakin' Japanese! This mask can be used on your lips and on your nipple as pictured on the packaging. The mask is made of a lip-shaped silicon material and it is a bit wet, but not dripping wet like the face masks we use. The liquid is a bit oily. It contains Vitamin E, Collagen, and Hyaluronic Acid to help soften the lips. To use: make sure your lips are dry and does not have lip balm. Place the mask on your lip area and wait for 10-15 minutes before removing the mask. But in my case I wait for like 20-30 minutes hihihi. Be careful not to talk while it is on your lips because the mask easily tears. It is very delicate.

Here is the before and after picture of my lips. As you have noticed, before my lips looked dull even with a lip balm on it. After applying the mask, my lips looked a bit plumped and moist. Also the lines were minimized.

PROS:
- visible results
- lips are moisturized and plump
- lines are minimized
- lipstick application will be easier

CONS:
- temporary effects
- sold online (in the Philippines)

Despite of its temporary effect on my lips, I still love this product. I only use it prior to wearing lipstick especially matte ones. I use my ever-reliable lip scrub and apply this mask afterwards. Since it is not readily available in stores, I only use this when needed. BTW, each mask costs 75 pesos so it's kinda expensive for a one-time use product. My verdict: a 4 out of 5!!!!

Nature Republic By Flower Lip Essence Review

A few weeks ago, I made a review about Nature Republic By Flower Lip Scrub. It was only recently that I got the chance to purchase its partner and today's featured product, the By Flower Lip Essence. It was always out of stock at SM Fairview. Good thing it was available at Fairview Terraces so I purchased it without hesitation. The salesladies at Nature Republic would always mention about this Lip Essence everytime I purchase the Lip Scrub. They said it is recommended to use this after scrubbing. I got it at 10% less the price because of my discount card. This product costs PhP 235 for a 10ml tube.

The By Flower Lip Essence's packaging is the same tube type dispenser as the Lip Scrub. It  is sealed in a plastic wrap upon purchase (like the scrub above). Unlike the scrub's transparent tube, the essence's tube is pearly pink. You cannot see the quantity of the product inside. There are no English description written at the back as usual. The expiry date is stamped on top of the tube. The essence is transparent and has a light floral scent.

According to my research, this lip essence contains mango essence to help moisturize lips. When applied, you can feel the oily content of the product. The slant-tip applicator makes it easy to glide the product onto your lips. You only need a little (and I mean little) amount to cover the entire lips because too much will result to a sticky heavy feeling. Like you smudged grease instead of a lip product. One good thing about this product is that it has SPF 15 so it is great to use during daytime. It has a tingly sensation when applied. Not minty cool one but I guess prickly will be the right term to describe it.

PROS:
- moisturizing
- a little goes a long way
- easy to apply
- lasts even after drinking
- can be used alone or as a gloss with lipstick
- has SPF 15
- affordable
- handy

CONS:
- you can't see the quantity of product left
- a little sticky upon application
- the prickly sensation

This lip essence is good to pair with its Lip Scrub counterpart but not very necessary if you have other lip balms in your beauty arsenal. But this is a good one if you want something that will serve as both your lip care product and lip gloss. Nice to use during daytime as it has SPF content. Ladies on -the-go will surely like this as it is small and very handy. Just slip it on your pocket and you're good to go. I give this darling a 4 out of 5!!!!

Etude House Kisful Lip Care Review

There is one particular product that you will find on every corner of our little house...a lip balm! I do have it on almost every spot - near the dining area, near the tv, near the headboard of the bed, cabinet, make up kit, purse. There must be one near my reach. I cannot live without applying it on my lips. I just feel incomplete without it. I don't know why. I cannot explain it. I have it from glossy to shine-free. From scented to unscented. From stick to pot. I just love lip balms!!!

I do not buy lip balms just for the sake of collecting or obsession. I don't buy one because of its scent or color. I buy those that are effective and well-praised so whether it is cheap or expensive it will be worth every penny. I prefer the ones that aren't tinted. Of all the lip balms I own and use, there is one that I absolutely love the most and it is the one I will review today- Etude's Kissful Lip Care. The one I bought months ago was the strawberry flavored one.

This lip balm claims to have 3 effects on one's lips: firming, smooting, and moisturizing. This is available in 3 flavors: Strawberry (pink), Peach (peach), and Cherry (red). Each stick contains 3.5 grams of product. This is one of Etude's best-sellers on their lip care line. No wonder it is always sold-out. The one I have is almost running out and I just don't know if there is going to be one available at the store.

The main reason why I love this lip balm a lot is that it makes my lip smooth. Since using this lip balm, I only scrub my lips once a week or as needed. Other lip balms I have only relieve dryness and help my lips from chapping when it is cold and that's it.

As usual, every product has its own share of cons. With this balm, unfortunately, it does not have SPF. So people who prefer lip balms with sunscreen may just use this at night or when indoors. But in my case, I don't care whether or not it contains SPF as long as it works and I use this during daytime. One more thing I don't like about this product is that I find the need to re-apply often. A stick does not last long compared to other lip balms in stick form.

Overall, regardless of its cons, I love this lip balm and will continue to purchase a stick or two as long as it is available in stores. I will give my little baby a 5 out of 5 because of its effects.
