You may (have already) notice that things I am reviewing are products that may be existing on shelves for quite some time now. Well, I agree that they are and the reason why it is only now that you are reading a review about it is because I just started blogging after years of dreaming of having my own blog site. So much for that crappy defensive speech let's get this thing started shall we?
Today let's have a look at one of my favorite stuff from Etude House-the Face Conditioning Cream (light variant). I have 2 tubes because I am not sure if Etude Philippines sells this big tube (or is it just at SM Fairview that's always out of stock). I got these babies from margaritashop_korea from Instagram. She offers great deals on Etude stuff like BB/CC creams etc. This product, according to the package, is a makeup boosting cream a.k.a primer. It has SPF25 and claims to whitens, reduce wrinkles, balance skin. I have the LIGHT variant which is meant for oily/combination skin. To be honest, I use this cream not really as a primer but as a day cream because it has sunscreen and it is light on the skin. It also cuts down oil/sebum production on my face with or without BB cream and makeup. I use it on my face and neck daily after toner. When there's a need for me to go out and wear makeup I use it prior to my BB cream (I use Etude House Precious Mineral Cotton Fit BB Cream W13). These 2 are the best partners-in-crime because I don't have to retouch much using a powder. It produces this healthy dewy glow when a little oil starts to say hi on my nose and forehead. Sometimes I just use a blotting paper to do the job. I also hate going to the ladies room and wait for those vain girls to finish doing their thing in front of the mirror. Blah. Blah.Blah. You can also use this plus your trusted pressed/loose powder for your lazy days or if you are just gifted with a goddess-like skin.
Here's a peek of my beloved Etude House Face Conditioning Cream....
It comes in a pearly white box. The tube is plain white but very girly IMO.
The "english side" of the box.
The "hangul side" of the box.
The manufacturing date stamped at the top of the tube. This cream should be used 12mos after opening.
The tube is sealed with a foil for "guaranteed freshness".
The content is a bit pearly white. It is more watery than oily which I love. It has a mild floral scent.
My left bare hand and right hand with the cream. Notice how shiny my right hand is? It is even toned and the texture's smoother.
PROS:
-75g of product goes a long way
-multi-function
-use it alone or with your powder or as a primer
-keeps oil at bay
-light variant is suitable for oily/combination skin
-blue variant is suitable for normal/dry skin
-sensitive skin friendly
-you don't have to use a lot to benefit from it
-reasonably priced (if you find a store which sells this for P600+)
CONS:
-pricey for P798 at Etude House
-you may spill some of the product if you squeeze the tube carelessly
-a bit icky during super hot days (use sparingly and with a powder on top)
-I don't like the scent
So what do you think of this baby? Pretty sweet right? If you are looking for a cream which will benefit you whether you just want to feel pretty everyday or prettier when wearing makeup this is the one you need. A 5 out of 5 for the Wingedbitch!
P.S. My next entries are Innisfree goodies. Lee Min Ho and Yoona fans...those entries will be for you. XOXO wb
